Well, she hadn't cut them when I saw them, but I could see they needed cutting.

Oi, the ones you saw aren't the same ones. They have been resigned to the "crap ones that squeak pile", Anyhows, wouldn't have thought you'd have got that good a look at them slow coach .

That's a bit unnecessary. Sadly, it is totally accurate.
Plax is much better (and faster) at climbing than I am.

And yet you thought her mudguards were worth looking at...

Are we into euphemisms here again?

Perish the thought!!
I couldn't keep up with Plax, as per my previous post.
*weeps some more*

Next time, simply comment on her mudguard stays, then fill her panniers with hacksaw, cable snips, bolt croppers, angle grinder, dremel, ICBM, oxy-acetylene kit and a blacksmith's forge.

That should slow her down a bit...

Plax's mudgaurds are well worth looking at.
I had a very lengthy view of them as they pulled away from me up Llanberis Pass...

I think we need photographic evidence...

I didn't have a camera with me. And Plax (and her mudguards) were but a small speck in the distance...

They didn't start off being a small speck...
I kept up until the road started going uphill. It does that with irritating regularity in Snowdonia. The fact we were on Llanberis Pass may have some bearing on it too.

Or a small slice of Bara brith.

Yes, it probably would be a small piece. TheDoctor would probably get the large slice. Not that I'm still bitter or anything!

It was actually carrot cake we had, not bara brith. Plax doesn't like currants, so wouldn't be fussed about me getting a larger slice. Except she probably would anyway!!!
This has gone so far OT it's practically formed it's own time zone.

It's the principle of the thing!
