Hi Guys.

I'm looking to ride the full Afan Forest Skyline trail in a few weeks time. This is quite a long cross country ride (all day apparently) and it's a good idea to go with somebody so I've read.

I'm 46 and of average fitness and ability. I not looking to stop every 5 minutes after a slight hill but I'm also not looking to smash any world records :-)

Just looking for a nice day out on the trail.

If anybody wants to hook up that would be cool.

Rob

Lucky you living that close to some cracking trails/parks. We are 250 miles away

20 minutes from Cwmcarn
45 minutes from Forest of Dean
45 minutes from Bike Park Wales.

But ironically absolutely nobody to ride with

It's amazing how many Mountain bikers there are, but they are all 'friends riding together', nobody wants an extra appendage cramping their style!

I've tried to join mtb groups and cycle groups, but nothing ever comes of it.

if i was closer i would love to, did a solid 3 days at Afan a couple of years back followed by BPW and it was brilliant  enjoy the skyline.

I know where you are coming from but still try setting a local MTB buddies club up on Facebook or join a few groups. Our local group in two years is nearly up to 2,000 members and organise all sorts. Its a great way to meet people.

PS. Might be worth asking the mods to move this post to the MTB section as you will get more like minded people

Pitty I can't find someone to go with. Never mind, that just means I can go the second I can and the weather looks good
