Indeed. Some probing questionsrabout their methods and motivation require answering here, in addition to those about their amateurish behaviour. I doubt we'll ever get to the bottom of it though - they'll go all Hilary Clinton if anyone started investigating in earnest.

I'd still like to hear from the council as to why they pushed this as hard as they did, bearing in mind the sole complainer was the previous landlord of the same premises when it used to be a pub.

I guess the honest answer is that the former landlord has friends in high places... but the council members involved will be unlikely to admit that. Maybe some council members of opposing political allegiances might be better placed to push for answers or an enquiry?

Velolife is closing at Warren Row, but has another cafe.

It is with a heavy heart that I make this post. After nearly 10 years, Velolife is moving out of Warren Row. Plans are changing for the building and it is time for us to leave.

What a roller coaster it has been!

Getting through the highs and lows was only possible with the huge support from this community. Without you all we would not have been able to do it. Your unwavering support and loyalty has been unmatched and for this we are incredibly grateful.

Over the years we have witnessed and shared so much together. Loved ones passing, strangers meeting, couples getting together, partners getting married, families being started and families growing. It has been an immense privilege.

Thank you each and every one of you for everything, it has been wonderful to serve this community.

Our last day in Warren Row will be Sunday the 27th of July.

Our Cafe at the Marina in Wargrave will still be open so please come and visit us on the river.
