Just thinking we could have a thread for the chic amongst us to post links to chic cycling gear.

I'll start by recommending this bag:

http://m.tredz.co.uk/products/47857

It's very versatile, bigger than it looks and fits to any bike in seconds. I've had compliments from non cycling friends, who were very surprised to find it was "cycling kit".

So, recommendations style gurus - especially bag recommendations!

Ah, I can't manage "chic" at the best of times, never mind on the bike - but, wait, I'm on the bike practically every day
Find me some waterproof warm "normal" clothing I could wear on the bike, Sarah, I wanna be a chic cycling chick too.
Once I tried wearing trendy black wool legging, trendy knitwear kind of material boots, a polo neck topped by a thick wool dress: needless to say I froze my wee derriere off :cold:

Met an older couple today at our coffee stop she was wearing Ugg type boots and cycling gear....told us they were on a tandem and she hadn't realised she had forgotten to change shoes. NOT CHIC....but is there a gap in the market for Uggs with cleats?

Well Pat, for the most part I just wear my normal clothes BUT I do find now that when clothes shopping I do have in mind if things will be suitable for the bike. The kind of outfit you describe is typical. Not sure why you were so cold.

Skirts etc tend to be knee length and flared or A-line, dresses need to have a bit of stretch in them if possible. Leggings and wooly tights in winter - I do wear cycle shorts under skirts in the summer to protect my modesty!I try not to cycle in jeans, I find it it quite uncomfortable, and they take forever to dry if I get wet.
I use alot of layers, so I can strip off en route! Last year I bought a very nice waterproof coat from lands end that is perfect for the bike.
I wear a beanie hat, ordinary gloves and scarf.
In winter boots are perfect for cycling in!

I'm very interested in bags - I've got a Linus sac for my rack, but its not very big so still using my ortliebs for shopping (though I have some pretty basil panniers attatched to my raleigh caprice). The Linus sac is good if I need to take alot of stuff to work.

The bag I linked to in my OP is a fab design, fastens onto the handlebars in seconds - I use it as my every day handbag and switch it between which ever bike I'm using (I currently have four :stop:) - I'd love to see more designs using this system.

It is a very nice bag! I was trying to see how much it was, but the site went a bit funny, will try again.
For sure, it beats the usual rucksack.
I have 3 bikes, one fitted with a basket, where I usually but my handbag - try to keep the rucksack for the commute, it's quite hi viz!
If I go food shopping I take my trailer for a big shop, a little one I usually do on foot or use a less garish rucksack, if it's not raining.
You see, here from September to May there usually is a chilly wind and a permanent drizzle: it puts a damp to any fashionable attire I would like to wear for a cycle to town to meet friends

This is the beauty of my Lands End coat, its about mid thigh length so keeps me dry quite far down! Its bright red, wich I consider to be hi viz and I replaced the decorative buttons on the back with these reflective badges:
http://spotme.cc/Page 5.html they usually come in a mix but i emailed the lady who makes the and she did three red hearts for me to match my coat!
