M&S work out very well if you have more than one decent bike, as they don't charge extra for each one. Like another poster said, a little more than some other quotes, but the level of cover is much better, and I like the fact that you don't have to tell them that you have a nice bike - something that's always made me a bit uneasy.

Tesco's £750 outside the home, unlimited within.

Others are often £1000 max for a commuter but may stretch to £1500 possibly with a increase of excess.

I've got a cycle add-on policy with the Halifax. It was £54 for £3,200 cover, but this includes accidental damage aswell as theft. I had to make a claim this year and was apprehensive about claiming as I thought they wouldn't cover me for falling off the bike (thought there must be something in the small print about not covering a dufus who can't ride a bike!). They said no problem, I was covered and I got very good service from them.
