Cycle hire in Mallorca.

We are off to Mallorca for a week in October, it's our first time there and we are staying just outside Las Palmas.I've searched the web and on here for cycle hire in Mallorca. The two names that seem to keep coming up are Pro cycle hire and Pollensa cycling. Has anyone used these or other hire shops in the area and what were your experiences?

I thought Las Palmas was in the Canary Islands. Pollensa cetainly, is in Mallorca, the North Eastern side, which I don't think is as nice as the South Western part. Apart from that, all I can say is that there seem to be more cycle hire places based in the Pollensa area, but I've never actually got round to hiring from them; nearly hired from Pro Cycle last year, but took my own bike in the end due to their high prices and worrying insurance/replacement arrangements, along with limited pick up locations and times.
Off to Mallorca again for the first week in Oct., going with Stephen Roche ..................for the 16th time; as you may have guessed, I like both the island and the camp.
If you're staying just outside Palma it's about an hour to drive to Pollensa. If you're staying in Las Palmas it's quite a long flight ...........................

Ive not hired bikes in Pollensa but you are close to Sa Collabra

The ride up to Cap de Formentor is a nice ride as well.

I go over to pollensa once or twice a year... A couple of guys who travel within our group have hired bikes from the two places you mentioned
And have had no bother Planet X is the basic bikes to hire or Pina`s if you have the money

Hired bikes from Pollensacycling.com a couple of years ago, they had Kuota Korsas as their basic bikes at the time, although more expensive bikes were available. They were just like new, and the mechanic was more than happy to flip the stem, fit different pedals etc. Recommended!

I would book in advance though, even in October to make sure you get what you want.

Thanks for the replies.
I emailed both the places I mentioned a few days ago and have had no reply from either, so unless I hear something soon that's my custom they've lost. I will wait until I get out there and take my chances on availability elsewhere.
