Maybe I'm just having a dose of the Mr Grumpys, but my reaction to these is usually "Give your own money to your chosen charity and don't look to other people to fund your holidays".

I'm grumpy too then because that's roughly the kind of reaction I have.

There's good money for someone in these find raisers. I just hope it's the charity.

I completely agree but there's no reason you can't just contribute the cost of your trip yourself and add it on to your sponsor money. Then you get the best of both worlds.

I wonder if this is what Cyclebum's up to...she's there at the moment, isn't she?
