My cycle facility of preference in the area is bikefix in lambs conduit street.
For the price of a service, you get free cycle parking for the day, and they even tune and check over your bike whilst you're away.
DesignAgainstCrime carried the following story about "Bike Off!"
"The Holborn Gateway Secure Bicycle Parking Research Project, funded by Transport for London (TfL) and London Borough of Camden, ran over 2 years (July 2005 - March 2007) and culminated in the design proposal of a benchmark secure cycle parking facility located outside Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, a bicycle theft 'hot spot' according to Metropolitan Police data."

PDF on cycle parking and facilities
"Camden has been awarded funding to carry out a demand feasibility study for cycle stations. These are secure indoor cycle parking facilities with shower facilities and lockers for cyclists. Camden’s first cycle station is currently being implemented in the Clear Zone area (High Holborn) in partnership with the Holborn Business Partnership, this facility is for use by businesses only and not by the general public. Funding awarded in 2008/09 for feasibility of new cycle stations will seek to provide facilities for public use, but this may not be feasible due to ongoing costs of running the secure cycle station. TfL will not fund projects with an ongoing cost, so it is likely that in addition to charging and sponsorship, the Council would need to commit funds in order to provide this as a public service."
