Hello,
I've been advertising cycle holidays in the alps of Provence by E mailing cycle club secretaries and asking them to pass the info to their members--- havn't got much response so maybe the message hasn't got to the right people--Or maybe my holidays are so cheap people don't think they will get a good holiday--SO any ideas--perhaps I should double the price ??

Hello and welcome to the CC forums - if you hang around and discuss cycling matters I'm sure some CCers would be interested. ;)

If you have a word with Admin and maybe offer a small discount to CCers I'm sure he'll be happy for you to put a link up to your site.

Yes they are. Lots of them. French departments are arranged into regions. The PACA region contains Provence and Alpes. As witnessed in the department called Alpes de Haute Provence.

You stated the "Alps of Provence" which is in departments 13 and 83, Bouche de Rhone and Var. This is Provence.

You now say with the input of JC you are situated in St. Andre les Alpes which is in the Alpes de Haute Provence department 04 which is further north. The department boundary goes up to just north of Barcelonnette aound the north of the Grande Berard. Castellane is just south of your location.

If you double your prices then you will get even more business, I think not. There maybe only 4-6 weeks at most left for cycle touring and then I guess the area is gearing up for the ski season?

So your thread is touting for business? If you were offering end of season bargain prices this might attract punters ...........

Sorry I hope you don't think I was trying to deceive people---- I know exactly where I am. As for doubling the prices it wasn't a serious suggestion but I do see a lot of cycle trips advertised at double the price I am asking--as for end of season bargains I think what I offer is a bargain anyway but anyone interested in visiting should get in touch and we can negotiate. Information / photos of recent trips etc can be found on facebook page ''Cycle the alps of Provence'' or on my web site www.Chez-Ray.com.
