Cycle to work day 2015

Like last year I have the day off on that day and like last year I will not be cycling to work just to take part

I just got an email from the Cycle to Work Day organisers. It includes this picture for their 'photo competition'. I despair at organisations that promote this.

Oh god. All the muppets will be out. The only thing worse than a school mum in a car is a cyclist who hasn't been on the road since the last cycle to work day

I'm doing my best to be optimistic but I do cycle to Croydon.

Starting in Welling and finishing in Croydon would suck the joy out of a joyful person, especially when you know that you get to do it the other way round at home time.

And that's just the ride. Now throw in the Cycle to Work day lot on the way in and the school mums chatting to Tarquin on the way home and I'll be about as happy as Marvin the Paranoid Android tomorrow

Cycle to work day? Today is it?
This morning I saw the least amount of cycle commuters then I have in the past couple of weeks.

I saw a couple of unfamiliar faces on my commute. I didnt see Mr Taciturn, a well known commuter hereabouts (on my route anyway).

It was was quite cool - literally. Autumn seems to have arrived far too fast.
