I'm not working Thursday. Might cycle there and back though.

..... Friday could be ' All Cyclists Drive to Work Day' then we'd see some congestion !

My local rag The Bristol Evening Post often carries letters regarding how cyclists hold up traffic etc.

If all cyclists decided to drive to work one day, then they'd have something to moan about

If I'd have known about it I would have laid a bacon butty on for everyone who cycled in, two for the person who cycled the furtherest.

Now, if only you ran the cafe at my work

The only other two cyclists are
i. On holiday
ii. Off the bike with an arm in a sling from a MTB jump that went awry

So winning that competition would be easy :-)

Slightly disappointed not to see any cyclists on my commute this morning. Not even the odd one or two that I normally see heading in the opposite direction.

I know of a couple of people that have bought themselves new bikes over the summer and who livebetween 2-4 miles away from work. When I asked them if they were planning on cycling in today they both said 'I don't do riding on the roads (safety) and the showers at work are mingin (which to be fair they are, but at least we have that facility available to us).

As I work in Dudley I think it has more to do with having to ride uphill at some point on your commute.....wherever you are coming from or going to. Keeps me fit though.

I saw a grand total of No extra cyclists on the road today.
Then again, which idiot came up with the idea of having a "National Cycling day" mid September. If you ride before 7am you need lights and the likelihood of it raining is much higher. Why not July when we have maximum daylight hours and the kids aren't at school so there's no logistical nightmare of getting them and you to two separate destinations?
