I recently discovered there seems to be much controversy over the height of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Billed at 6'2", but many pundits reckon 5 ten is closer to the truth.

So once again, the scholars and philosophers of CycleChat have to step in to settle the debate.

Before checking, I voted 6'1".

I think hes tiny, and always appears closer to the camera to give the illusion of height.

I don't know how anatomically accurate wax models are but I stood next to his Tussauds model some years back and was surprised to be taller than it. I'm 6 foot, the wax work must have been about 5 feet 9 or 10. For what that's worth.

Sorry for the diversion, but walking through town to pub at the weekend got me thinking about how you don't see tv shops anymore, where people stop to watch a programme on the sets in the window. That reminded me of the first time I saw a portable tv. As luck would have it, the programme was about a tap dancer, so the screen was filled with just the feet. Of course, daft lad here thought they couldn't get the full picture onto the tiny screen.
