The guy who used sit beside me at work is a singer/songwriter and I used to always tell him that he should focus his efforts on writing just one cringeworthy Christmas song and he would be set up for life.

Although it's a Buddhist country in the main, they've certainly jumped on the whole commercial Xmas bandwagon here. You'll hear most of the above mentioned songs in the malls, and often they're just covers of the originals, as if they could be any worse.
