Time once again for the investigative might of CycleChat to cut through the bull and get to the heart of the matter.

How come the Met Office app tells me it's going to snow, while the BBC app says the opposite? Just to add to the confusion, my trusty fir cone predicts heavy rain, and is usually the more accurate.

So which weather app is best, and why?

PS, feel free to suggest other apps form consideration.

Watch for cows lying down so they don't get their belly's wet. It also saves some body heat.

Or, if they are in a field all day, and at one point the majority move towards a wall and shelter, you've bad weather coming in from the opposite direction.

"and at point" edited to read "and at one point".

Yr.no strike a good balance between accuracy and interactive clarity.

Met Office are usually accurate for the UK, but their visual presentation and adverts spoil it.

BBC very well presented but tend to err on the pessimistic side. Often show rain when it turns out bone dry.
