No country on earth currently admits publicly they are in contact with any advanced species. Some do acknowledge, including the US, France and a number of South American countries that there is definitely something out there and it certainly isn't theirs or anyone else's due to mind bending performance characteristics that defy all we currently know about flight, thermo dynamics and propulsion systems. Were any large nation in possession of such technology, we would follow follow our usual path of dominating all else using human history to date that proves repeatedly the most powerful will behave this way

Yes - I think I said that - certainly meant to say so

and as far as advanced is concerned - it depends on how you define it

In terms of how a species from another planet goes - I was thinking of the versions where "advanced" means that they have some sort of civilisation and are capable of large scale manufacturing using logistics across large areas

e.g. mining ores from different parts of the planet and bringing them together in another part
which requires transport and co-operation
and probably they would want to see transport concepts such as powered flight

but who knows - the Aliens might see some things we think of as advanced as trivial
and might see some simple things as incredible

and we might be unable to even conceive of some things they have been able to do since ancient times

Probably the first and biggest advance humanity has ever made is consciousness, everything else has been a consequence of that. Self awareness is the beginning of a long road to where we are now. Were we able to elevate that to levels whereby we could communicate without speech and understand other lifeforms from their perspective we would defacto be able to do anything we desired. Are other earthbound species capable of consciousness in a way we understand no. It doesn't mean they aren't however. There is no logical reason why a civilisation from somewhere else has not achieved this. Using our parameters of what would happen to any other civilisation is pointless.

It is not, I repeat not the mad tin foil hat brigade alluding to these things. They just make studying seriously a subject of this nature all the difficult for all the obvious reasons.

This is correct. I rely on published documentation in book format mainly. Stanton Friedman, Richard Dolan, Dr Gary Nolan from the SOL Institute are some of the most notable academics in the field.

a) They have contacted me and I have been on their spaceship - and have sex with them

b) given the size and variety of the universe and the starts and planets in it then there, even if we are way off on our thinking of the odds of life developing, then there still MUST be some life out there - and probably intelligent life

so it all depends on the acknowledgement
