Hi cycling community
First time on a forum so grateful for any advice!
I am planning a month long trip (cant get time off for more!) cycling across some of the USA in 2020, with a friend. Very, very early stages of planning but we would like to have some kind of challenge element/general route to aim for so thinking of something like '20 states in 20 days' and from a very brief look on a map, something like New York to New Orleans seems a possibility (averaging 100 miles p/day)
What I am not sure of is if a route like that will be worth the effort as I am not familiar with the east coast outside of New York!
Ideally would love to go across the whole country but just don't have the time.
Has anyone cycled any parts in between and has any advice? Or other suggestions of routes where we could do a point to point challenge like the above? We are planning on having a couple of other with us driving a camper so wont be carrying gear day to day. Doing this also means i want to get as good a route with good scenery as much as we can!
