Cycling Holiday Suggestions?

Hello Guys,

I would be interested in doing a cycling / activity holiday this summer.

A week sounds great, I assume somewhere in France, mountain biking (or road), rafting etc.

Can anybody recommend any good places to look, and even offer any personal suggestions?

Hook of Holland to Amsterdam is a lovely ride. A day each way, then however long touring around from there. I definitely intend to do more cycling there.

Thanks Trike, I was thinking more of ones where I can book, just fly out there, hire the equipment etc and just go off?

I recommend Saddle Skedaddle for organised cycling holidays. Their holidays are ranked for ability and they can supply good bikes.

The French Alps are beautiful in the summer, but it depends on how much riding you have done. Some of the climbs are long and quite tough, but there is always the option of doing a beginners week, where you get to choose how much you do.

I'm cycling the Alps and Pyrenees this summer and during my research have come across a couple of outfits that seem to be highly regarded for B&B and route organisation/ backup, I am sure they will be able to recommend local cycle hire as well.
