It's got me to thinking about a bike shop in near-ish by town (50km away) It has a cafe area, nice comfy seats etc. I went in to look at electric bikes (a story for another day) Okay, I get it and I applaud the desire to create a community feel, or whatever, etc. But I couldn't help but think 'why?' There's literally a cafe across road, one with (probably) better coffee and a humongous selection of cakes, pastries, sandwiches etc. There's no way the bike shop can compete with that and you wouldn't expect them to either. The cafe doesn't sell bikes btw.
