Cycling just outside London

Ah, road bikes makes things trickier, less adaptable.

I'd be tempted to just do London Brighton, drink there, swift train back to town. But i think maybe you said you were meeting out of town.

Alternatively, there would be my hell of chiddingley ride which the blue-feced one above remembers. But you are in luck - have had a laptop crash and temporarily lost the route - not as a gox anyway.

I suppose it HAS to be a road bike because if your mate.

I did this ride on the weekend. Mostly after dark, but I did catch a couple of nice views before the sun went down.

If you want a slow ride (pedestrians and slow cyclists on cycle route - prob need 28mm tyre) the Thames route is very interesting, lots to see going west - Richmond park, Hampton Court, Windsor castle , would start at Putney though as this gets you out of the very centre of London, Easy to get train back into London.

Got a friend coming over from Australia im meeting them near london for a days cycling .Im coming down from yorkshire and not sure where would be a nice place to ride anyone ? plan to do about 60m

If you are driving down from yorkshire then you want to be north of London and outside the m25. The children hundred route might be an idea.
