Following on from my Antarctic Photo essay which I posted in Cycle Chat, I thought I would post a real-life cycling in Antarctica story. I accept of course that Mike Hall is most deservedly the official record holder for cycling round the world in an astounding 91 days, but I thought you guys might like to read the tale of my most unofficial world-record circumnavigation - in less than ten seconds - while cycling at The South Pole.

Would i be correct in thinking that your route was along a rather southerly latitude?

Fairly far south, yes! And when I pedalled back to the station it didn't matter which way I was going - I was headed north!
