Cycling Shorts and Top, Jacket

Hi All

Doing a few long rides in the summer and I want to start getting my gear ready. I'm new to road cycling, so need some better clothing to go with my new bike than I currently have, as most of it was bought in Aldi and Sports Direct just as a cheap filler.

The key items I need are: Cycling Shorts, Cycling Tights, Cycling Jersey and a Jacket

Willing to spend around £150-£200 on getting it all. Can anyone recommend any brands or sites I should be looking to get best value for Money.

Dhb from wiggle a popular choice. Easy returns too if required

Do you need tights for the summer? Leg or knee Warner's maybe more useful

Jacket something light and wind proof might be better than a boil in the bag cheap waterproof

Could look at decathlon too, can try in store. Just don't go for the most basic

You'll probably want to add mitts and glasses to the list and some breathable socks

dhb (available on wiggle) is a good balance between budget and quality. And ditto what vickster said about tights, mitts and a windproof jacket rather than waterproof.
