So today I went and did my Regents Park outer circle loops and found myself swearing at what was a vicious headwind down one part of the loop, rendering any good times for Strava impossible :cursing:

Though it got me thinking. If you could choose one special power which would be active for just ONE DAY a year that'd benefit your cycling, what would it be? I wouldn't mind a day of no wind (or a lovely tailwind) to grab some KOMs, or maybe super endurance, or a 24 hr super climb ability.

So what would yours be? Only 1...and none of this 'the ability to have all abilities' crap ;)

Ability to buy a top notch bike:thumbsup:

Every time I went down onto the bar ends, I would automatically double in both velocity and stability.

And I would be called The Crouch.

After this summer, Id probably go for 1 day a year without rain ;)

but seriously, probably something like 50% gravity day so I could see how much faster id be without having to give up cake. :hungry:

What about cake being the one fuel that gives you optimal cycling performance for a day

That's sort of where I was coming from. Not only not lugging the 35 kg of flab uphill, but not having to keep it oxygenated too...

My special power would be to not get tired out. No matter how far or fast I cycled, no matter how many hills I climbed or how steep they were, I would have the same amount of energy at the end of the ride that I had at the beginning.

I'd go on a major long ride with some kick arse hills along the way :boxing:

To have all the roads on my usual routes closed off from traffic and pedestrians, and to have the traffic lights on permanent green so that i can see how i fare without having to constantly brake, swerve and have confrontations etc. Oh!, and i'd like Lancashire County Council to fill in the potholes and resurface(just surface would be nice)those roads and cycle lanes beforehand.
