9 miles will take you 30 mins. There are bugger all lights on the coast road. It's fine to cycle on, done it loads of times. There are only a few sections at 60 now and most is 40. Lots safer than urban traffic.
9 miles in 30 minutes??? Christ I must be slow!!! My record is 10 in 45!! :-\
Well as I went and PRed my college commute home the other day with 16 miles just under 1hr on my old bike, I will set a target of 30 mins and see what I can do.The coast road is pancake flat. It's boring but good for TT practice. I think Matt will be doing it quicker with low wind.
It is a permanent position but part time and 5.5 hours a week. Not much but still work.I reckon there's a 3 months rule on such things.... you're boss isn't going to consider a 12-24 repayment scheme until she/he is sure you're likely to be working there for 12-24 months at least.
I've been in my new job for 4 weeks now, and i won't ask for any holiday for another couple of months... just so i appear more into the job rather taking out of it until I've got my feet under the table.

No probation period? It is a permanent position but part time and 5.5 hours a week. Not much but still work.
That makes me feel better...there is none of this 'flat' thing you talk of here!!!![]()
Ps working part time you won't be earning enough to take advantage of the cycle to work scheme anyway as it won't save you any tax. In my opinion an interest free loan from the bike shop is a better deal.
Mum even went and bought me a card, cidre, and chocolate to celebrate. I have been trying so hard to get a job.
