Bottom of Richmond Road on the junction with Medway Road, I sometimes use this route into work if I go to the bank first thing as I did today, purple MTB on the deck with very buckled front wheel from the front bumper of a blue Ford Focus which also had a smashed windscreen, I suspect the rider was coming down Rosebery Road at a decent lick as it is downhill, took the corner under the railway bridge and the car driver did not see them as they turned onto Richmond. It is a short distance from the corner to the t-junction. Police on scene said the cyclist was in stable condition but from the looks on their faces they did not seem convinced, the cyclist obviously hit/was hit hard.

Lets hope the police were right and wish the cyclists a speedy recovery.

Rode this way again today, there was a patch of blood on the road, probably an egg cup full so not a great deal, local press don't seem to have anything but they only report football in general.
