I'm sure there was a story last year about a cyclist dying near there. It looks like a nice route, http://www.cyclestreets.net/journey/4577596/ though I can't quite see how it can take over an hour to do 4 1/2 miles

Hi Pedrosanchezo...

..I am a member of Falkirk cycling club and was with the group on Saturday afternoon when the tragic accident occured...

..Tom Anderson was our club Captain...a real gem of a guy and an incredibly talented bike rider, which has made it so difficult for as all to come to terms with or understand why he came down so suddenly on a clear road for no apparent reason ?..

..we were on a fast descent only a mile or so from Dunkeld, where we were to stay overnight during our annual end of season weekend away, when the incident occured....no other riders were involved....

RIP Tom.

Sorry to hear that. I bought my Secteur from a guy at the Falkirk Cycling Club - I can only imagine how shocked you all are.

Hey Jassy-x,

Thanks for posting. Tragic indeed. I had assumed a p*ncture or similar but after what you said it appears a mystery. Descending is something i enjoy greatly but i sometimes wonder how easy it is to come down and what the outcome would be. Given what we wear, any fall at speed is going to be serious and, as we know, possibly life threatening.

Sounds like an extremely liked man and talented cyclist. My sympathies to your club and his family. May he rest in peace.
