RIP!

Please lets not speculate as to what happened. We weren't there so it is impossible to know.

My thoughts are with the cyclists friends and family.

With the utmost respect to those involved I really don't see the point in these threads. I seem to remember a recent one got very heated and eventually got taken off the forum. We learn nothing useful from the link provided other than someone has tragically been killed. Posting RIP won't help them.

I wondered why there were so many ambulances there this morning, I didn't stop to look although there was a crowd of onlookers. Sounds like he was left hooked.

There are far to many of these railing along that road put there for "road safety" reasons. I just the wish the council would learn that these are death traps and take them out. From the information given, I think he must have been intending to go strait ahead towards the University and was left hooked by the truck, with no escape route.
