Early this month . Trefor Davies Cyclist of Handforth . Was travelling along the A34 Alderley Road towards Wilmslow . He was knocked off his bike Although he was not knocked unconcious . He has serious head and facial wounds . This happened across the road from the Merlin Restaurant . A member of staff came to his aid and called an Ambulance. He was taken to macclesfield Hospital It seems that a vehicle clipped his bike as It went pass .
And failed to stop . Police are looking for witness.
This area Is very close to the Roundabout of the New Alderley bypass . Which is always busy with heavy traffic . And Is very dangerous for vehicles making last minute changes ........
On behalf of us All . " May we wish Trefor a speedy recovery "

It seems so much worse when the drivers fail to stop.
Accidents happen, but to leave a person rather than face the consequences is unforgiveable.

Saw the report on this in the Express.
I've been cut up there before despite being in the rather poor cycle lane that has just started at that point, a lot of cars simply ignore the cycle lanes around there. The road surface is a bit of a nightmare as well. I tend to ride primary as I come out of AE due to the pot holes.
Hope he is ok.
