Only plus point is he stopped at the red.

Im finding that undertaking thing is becoming more common.

He was really close to the kerb and very close to the car, while there is no point if that car braked for some reason he would go in the back of it.

Tremendous video, Gaz - you must have some good equipment there. I was holding my breath when he looked like undertaking the electrical van, and I bet the van driver was bracing him/herself.

It's a great vid, and is on my commute route as well.

I doubt the van driver had any idea the cyclist was there.
ditto. he might have just been in his blind spot as well.

Yes - maybe I was being a tad overoptimistic about the van driver's alertness.

Nah, the van driver *could* have seen the cyclist as for much of the time he's directly in sight of the nearside mirror. I'm just rather cynical when it comes to driver observation, plus there's no sign from the driver that he saw this nutter.

Apart from the nob-ona-bike, the other thing that struck me was the total lack of snow. I though that London was supposed to be in the grip of an ice-age.

Depends on where you are. this road is just before victoria train station, and is very busy. The pavements on streets like these are gritted day and night along with the roads.. go down some side roads on the other hand, and it's a different storey.

I dont think I could blame the driver for his positioning tbh. He may have seen the cyclist and decided to block an undertake by pulling closer to the kerb. I personally think should that driver need to stop in a hurry then the nodder there thinks he can zip down the inside and is forgetting about his handlebar width (perhaps he's a frequent driver and is used to wheels defining width of vehicle, LOL)
