Saw on local website ,
Two in two days , one at Sheen gate Richmond Park the other on Sandycombe Road, Ambulance and Cops at both incidents , not sure yet if serious injuries , not the best time to be hospitalised if that’s the case ,

Couple of deaths reported in North Yorkshire today (Thursday) both hit by cars. Crazy when there is 60-80% less traffic.

Tch Tch ,what a sad thing ,more lives and families ruined , I think the lack of traffic , as has been stated on CC is part of the trouble , boy racers open road and all that ,

As far as I can see it's one, a 66 year old man near Pateley Bridge. Seems to have crashed on Dibbles Bridge and hit a tree, not been hit by a car. Another cyclist died there in 2015 and in 1975 a bus crashed killing 33. I don't know it but it seems like a fast approach to a bridge on a bend with low parapets and big drops each side.

I'm not surprised, the driving in my area is horrible since lockdown, I have now seen the police stop 2 people near my home this week for speeding, one I had reported as he was doing laps of the village.

People are also all over the road as they think they won't meet another car.

Thus misinformation gets spread around the www rumour mill....

Here's the spot. As a cyclist and former motorcyclist I cringed as the rider went over the bridge, the bend tightens and he nearly ran out of road:

Cripes.
I know the bridge by reputation but have never ridden it.
Do you reckon he could see round that bend as he took the other side of the road?
(Eveñ if he could and saw something i seriously wonder whether he could have braked and kept control anyway)
Clearly thinks all those SLOW markings don't apply to two wheels or wings.

Sadly it seems to me, those that are out and driving. Really are convinced that no one else will be on the roads. Although there was a sharp decline in the boy racers past my house, long straight[ish] road from traffic lights. They seem to be creeping back.
Cyclists also seem to be taking risks on emptier roads.

There are clearly some well reported cases of idiots.
But in london, despite emptier roads,i have the impression that drivers are being more careful/nicer/in less of a hurry.
