Tonight there will be a piece on the one show about cyclists using cameras and issues with the police/cps/ pf(?)

I'm hoping this is a fairly good piece and I'm really hoping my contribution doesn't paint a bad picture.

AH, so within the first minute of the feature you get "drivers are the enemies of cyclists"...following on to cycle registration, everyone RLJs, etc etc etc. And there was me expecting something different...

Just seen it. Seemed ok, but cars aren't cyclists enemy as it said at the beginning.

Easy solution, post a video van at a few problem junctions, film 'em RLJing, then publish the mugshots in the local rag.

Now get on with the 'real' problem, cyclists being killed and injured by inattentive drivers.

They sometimes have police out, and I've seen people being pulled over before.

Also, you can jump most red lights with a numberplate on. If there isn't a red light camera it's pretty much the same, as with or without, the police can pull you over if they see it.

..yeah bit miffed with us being described as enemies with motorists.. most cyclists are motorists. It should be good road users joining forces against the bad and the lethal. Griff Rhys Jones said something about everyone should just chill out and be nice to each other which is basically right.
