D Lock unlocking on the Move !

I don't know how but my 4yr old Kyrptonite D Lock is unlocking its self on the move when I hit a series of bumps. When I get to the other end stop and unlock it and lock it again it seems as good as new. What really perplexes me is that when its normally unlocked you cannot remove the keys (you can only remove the keys when its locked) so how come with no keys it comes unlocked on the move. Any ideas folks? My only thought if it happens for a 1/3rd ride in a row I'll have to get a new lock?

ooo-er. Do you lube the lock key hole/pins at all? I wonder if the pins might be sticking.
Does the lock mech move by itself when it's open? Can you see it?

My Yale D lock did that once, so I just leave it at work now and bought a new lock with a cycle mount.

Is there a point when a lock needs to be replaced as its worn out? How do you know?
