Saw it last night and it was okay, nicely reverential to the original but a bit twee with the humour. Michael Gambon is excellent as Godfrey. Worth sitting through the end credits for the out-takes. It's no belly laughs, but more a gentle character piece. Incidentally, anyone passing through Mangotsfield Station on the Bristol Railway Path, there's a piece on the signage about Arnold Ridley, who played the original Godfrey, and the station inspired him to write The Ghost Train play.
