I went out today and returned 2 hours later to find that i'd left my sandwich toaster on. Unlike the kettle which i left on earlier in the year, this thing doesn't turn itself off,so it's been burning power for 2 hours. Any of you know how much that's cost me?

About £150 or so.

More importantly, was the cheese and onion sarnie OK?
at a guess it will be a 1kw element, so two hours at 16p per unit = 32p
but since all the heat has stayed in the house your central heating will need to work less hard, so considerably less than 32p, maybe 10p
But don't forget that the increased ambient temperature will mean his fridge had to work harder, ruling out much of that saving.
