Damn, it was cold on the bike this morning!

Couldn't get out this morning, so rode to Norwich in the afternoon to meet Mrs Plumtree in the city.
Started out in brilliant sunshine, albeit a little chilly! By the time I'd hit Norwich in the late afternoon, light was failing, ice was forming and ruddy hell was it cold!

Methinks I arrived at the airport McDonalds for a latte and a McFlurry in the nick of time! Wouldn't have enjoyed riding those roads in darkness.

Got the opposite problem here. Around 32' c today! bit too hot for going too far. In spite of that I miss the seasons.

Easy to say if you don't have to endure them!

I was planning on going for a spin yesterday the weather forecast was for a mild sunny day but it turned out dull and just above freezing. The roads were too dodgy so i took the mutt for a "power walk" instead.
Nothing wrong with 'power-walking'!

My incapacitation in 2012 made my legs wither away to the extent that I could only walk a few paces at a time but 8 months of gradually harder power-walking got me fit so I was able to do 20 mile hilly rides as soon as I started cycling again.

Well i think it's going to be another power walk this afternoon, I've had enough of suffering wind chill hurtling down hills at 30mph then having to wash the bike off when i get home. I like your tip for using a hand pump garden sprayer. I think i'll get one instead of chucking loads of buckets of water on the bike!

After Monday, Tuesday and Friday and Saturday off the bike with a stomach bug, I was pretty desperate to get out. A friend I hadn't seen for a while organised a Christmas Bike Breakfast and that gave me the little extra motivation I needed. Glad I got out, saw a little ice in puddles first thing but it turned into a beautiful day; a day I could have cycled all day but common sense kicked in and I decided to go home.
