Please enlighten me, does he play football at a guess?
No, he's an actor, of sorts. As alluded to elsewhere, he tends to portray the same character in all his films. Football Factory was one, I think, a film notable for having Dudley Sutton, known to many as Tink in Lovejoy, portray a football hooligan. He, Dyer, now appears in East Enders, running the Queen Vic.

See you can never remember the other guys name either, just like that 4th guy in Queen who nobody knows his name

I presume you mean John Deacon? About the only band I can name the original line up.

So, not only is Danny Dyer the cultural attaché for Laaarndan, but he's now a toff?

Stone the crows!

Despite being pretty much the epitome of a swaggering cockney nobhead, I have to admit I quite like him (and several of the films he's in).

Have you seen Malice in Wonderland? How that didn't get shortlisted for an Oscar is beyond me...;)

Durley Sutton was the anti hooligan character in that film, seeking to keep DD out of the hooligan lifestyle and a brilliant bittersweet counterfoil with John Junkin to the seedier violence side of the film.

DD identifies more with his self made man Thomas Cromwell ancestry than the inherent royalty.
