re the castles ride ... last year they had to shorten this one also :sad: due to a small section that gets awash with gravel and crap just after castle bolton... just had a e-mail from jeff they will be checking the route on tue 24 and he will let me know then if we will be doing offical route or the shortened one will let you know soon as​

Great ride today, (quite a few thunderstorms too spice things up, and falling of the bike 55miles in wasnt clever). But managed to complete it in 5hrs moving time and 5hrs 15mins in total.

we got a little damp also had a guy from aycliffe with us just after the cafe stop in grinton he got a pu****re
it was then the heavens opened:laugh: (sods law) but once your wet still a great ride though^_^

hey john you going to give the hell`o the north a go in september 100 miler:whistle:

Do you have a garmin route map?

^_^ http://connect.garmin.com/activity/111868292 if you zoom in to hawes you will see we go straight through to hardraw :whistle: the offical route you need to take a left turn BRUNT ACCESS RD into hawes itself then out on the A684 to apperset then pick up the route after the tight humpbacked bridge (hawes can be busy ) that our excuse..:laugh:
