Well since starting a 4 day week to spend fridays looking after junior. I can't believe all the excellent entertainment on daytime tv.
Already we have watched Homes Under the Hammer, Filthy Rotten Scoundrels and Car Booty (All this because the golf has been cancelled due to rain). Coming up we have Cash In The Attic, Loose Ladies (what ever that is about), Police Interceptors & a whole veritable feast of cheap, trash tv.

Daytime TV is pants, although a million times better than that "sport" called golf.

I watched a load of that stuff last week, before that I hadn't seen it in years. Jeremy Kyle is awful, but I'm happy with a cup of tea and Cash in the Attic.

Then after lunch you've got Doctors (very bad drama set in a fictional suburb of Birmingham that is surprisingly watchable) and then the peak of all daytime TV, Diagnosis Murder with Dick van Dyck and his 80's haired son.
Celebrity cash in the attic is good as it always surprises me how even z-list celebs live in huge country houses.

This was all you got on daytime TV when I were a lad  ...

When I'd been pulled apart and put back together by a surgeon 2 years ago I couldn't do much but watch TV or read.

Daytime TV lost the battle. What a load of unadulterated rubbish most of it was.

I did find a couple of good films to watch, and watched a few repeats, but most was less entertaining than the test card used to be (see post #6 but there were better ones)

Edit: Bill and Ben and The Woodentops were much better daytime TV than we get now IMO. Come to think about it they were better than most peak time TV we get now. Bring back Captain Pugwash and Popeye.

I am sure that daytime tv is controlled by government and having to put AWFUL trash on is part of the licensing agreements..

It's the only way it makes any sense..

His son is called Barry - I'd forgotten that one , it was sheer class! :becool:

Did you see the one where DVD chased after the baddies (who were in a car) on rollerskates, first rate stuff with no badly done trick shots back in the studio, yeah right!!

There was one on the other day where the suspect turned out to be a vampire, she picked up DVD and threw him across the room with her super-vampire strength. The transition from stuntman to DVD was seamless, well, sort of.
