Hi

Have ordered some lights from DealExtreme on 16/12/2010 and items have still not arrived, is this normal for them or should I have had them by now? Cheers all.

You should give anything ordered from China at least 15 working days, some come sooner some later, nothing longer than 20 working days.

I wouldn't worry too much. It can take a long time. Have you been back to check your order is complete? This happened to me once i had almost forgotten about the stuff. When i checked my account i found they were out of stock and it was on back order. It eventually came though.

Nothing coming from China but I have got a few outstanding deliveries from the pre-Christmas weather period and I was told this week that my local post sorting office had weeks of backlog stood out in the car park in cages (presumably under the loading bay canopies!) so I think we will just have to wait a while longer for things to get straightened out.

Yeah checked order and all seems OK. I think I'll hold tight for a little while longer seeing as we have just come out of the Christmas & new year phase. Cheers guy's most helpful.

I got a few Christmas cards this morning. One stamped on the 14th December from London - and I live just outside south London ;)

That is a bad time, the volumes increased earier this year, and then obviously the weather. I had stuff sat at HKP for 4 weeks without moving.

And then you have local backlog... etc.

What does the track status say? It can kind of be cryptic and having other meanings - post it here or the tracking (if you're okay with that). There is also a thread on the meanings on the DX forums.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
3 weeks is about average for dealextreme.

Of course over christmas things get hectic i ordered my light from them at the end of november and it came on the 24th of december.

Check your order status, i have 1 item ordered at the same time that they are still waiting for stock before they deliver.

I geuss its the price we pay for not paying the price we could pay

Getting 'out' of HK is usually the delay. Also add in Christmas, and possibly loads of stuff shifting about for Chinese New Year.

Took 4 weeks for mine, which I expected. Most of that was getting from pacing, to HK PO, and then out. Once "out" it was here quickly.

Just had a sunday morning delivery from the post office because they are so far behind. I received my panniers from 14th Dec and a bottle cage ordered last weekend (figure?). Still waiting for a few items from before christmas and still the odd christmas card turning up this week.
