My cat's whiskers are connected to the internet. They can get Radio Alba and everything. Even post on here!

My computer is wired up through a Teac stereo system with decent speakers, but I find that when I am listening to radio stations online, whenever I scroll down a page or change pages, the radio breaks up. Very annoying; to the point that I gave up.

I gave up listening to radio years ago, it's the talking over intros that tuned me out. Do they, and i guess its the producers etc that make this rule and not the 'presenters', not realise the vast majority of people hate this? It's even worse when it's filled with inane gibberish rather than somthing remotely useful that they try to cram in.

It's very rare I listen to the radio now either, very annoying presenters for the most part with only a few worth listening too. The BBC is usually poor and commercial radio is even worse nowadays.
Chris Evans is pretty good these days. He's been ok since he got over himself.
Agreed, used to really dislike him, now i actually think he is pretty good.

As for The Muppet theme, erm well err its on my phone as a ring tone. :shy:

I'm often forced to listen to Radio One and Capital Birmingham at work and the same crappy dance songs are played up to five times a day. I almost have Stockholm Syndrome for DJ Fresh. It's horrid.

I wouldn't complain about Muppets once a week. I deal with them daily.

At least in the car I can stick my phone to the dash, plug in the FM transmitter and broadcast Blind Guardian to anybody within 100ft through my stock stereo and open window.

Weird: I listen to any radio station on my laptop through wireless headphones while surfing and posting AND downloading AND uploading ...and gardening of course :becool: don't have any problems.
Maybe you need more memory ... or a new computer ^_^

Are you in a decent enough mobile area that you can stream the radio through your phone? It's the main reason I pay an extra £5 on my PAYG to get all I can eat data

I think that is the crux of the problem. I bought an external hard drive a while back, to free up some memory on the computer. Only to find that NONE of the high speed USB ports are working . It takes forever to transfer anything to or from external devices (including the external hard drive) as I have to use the only working USB port - which apparently isn't a high speed one.

Simon Mayo is the best thing since Johnny Walker... he can do no wrong- unlike Evans, Zoe Ball, Wright and Paige.

Johnny Walker and Mayo in the same sentence?
Perhaps I got off to a bad start with Mayo as I remember when he first appeared on Radio 1 (yes I AM a grumpy old git ) and he was coming away with his "MAYOnnaise" lines all too frequently. I can't put my finger on why, but I just can't take to his style. Actually I can put my finger on it, but I would probably get flamed by the tory voting middle class home counties members if I was to let slip ;).

I like Ken Bruce best.....he is very humourous and I like his banter with Lynn Bowles and she has real dirty laugh at times....Sally traffic can be a bit saucy when she wants

@Brandane you need more RAM memory, your external hard disk is fixed memory.
This all could become long winded  take the computer to a shop they may be able to fit more RAM, even fix the USB ports.
