Was it Dylan who wrote "Shelter From The Storm" ? I have a stunningly emotional version of it by a guy called Steve Adey. Played it as the only song on a podcast when I heard that an old friend had hung himself.

It still sends shivers up my spine and tingles the tearducts when I listen to it.
