yes i've been mapping for 2 days (sick of it) we know the way
anyone else joining us?
I tend to use ridewithgps these days. Based on Google but also pulls info from OpenStreetMap and OpenStreetMapCycle. Routes can easily be modified as well with "dragon drops" just like Google directions.
I could be tempted by this but without sounding like a big girl I've never cycled in London and my knowledge of London is zero. I don't know whether to cycle to HPC( worried about London traffic & getting lost, even with GPS!) or get the train from Hemel Hempstead into Euston then cycling to HPC without getting lost, then having to repeat it on the way home!
So this route will get me there and home again? Abs, if you are cycling there and back would you mind if I tag along?

Jay, when it's warmer you'll have to join us on a sunday london ride, we'll show you the sights (the palace, the guards) we'll even get the teas in
Sounds like a plan. I did a trial run of the route for timings sake this morning/afternoon. Traffic was moderately heavy and I was riding at tickover pace. Wind was from the SW and comparable with that forecast for Sunday. It took 1hr 26mins to get to HPC with no mechanicals.

I was going to set off about 6:15am which should get me to our route intersect point at 6:45.
EDIT : Ride with GPS shows a better overview of the timings as it shows actual time rather than moving time. http://ridewithgps.com/trips/456747
