Dented rim (from pothole) - does anyone here repair such things?

Just like to point out that Matt (the OP) can get very ratty when people try to divert his threads (see also pliers).
I'm settled on just buying a new rim - I can do the swap myself.
. . . just wondering if anyone is even likely to take on such a task? Is it even worth trying to find a home for this poor thing?
He's going to buy a new rim. Who wants this dented 'not very old' one? If you were building a new wheel 'on a budget', would you take a well dented rim, remediate it and then use it for a build?

(see also pliers)
Funny you should mention that ... do you not think that pliers might have been useful in the scenario I describe? (assuming I wasn't carrying a vice, which is by no means certain)

Aha, as ever, Sheldo-pedia turns up trumps:

I was also considering selling the wheel as-is to a loving home. p.s. it is "slightly dented" - not "well dented". I'll have my lawyers on you ...
