I don't think they care about the Police either or they wouldn't have stolen the car in the first place, is this therefore an argument for getting rid of both the speed cameras and he Police?

Driving past another roadside tree with a huge bumper-height chunk of bark missing and a load of flowers tied to it yesterday brought to mind that the "a clear, empty road at 2 in the morning" excuse for speeding is also nonsense.

If its anything like the epitaphs down here... can well imagine. Sometimes they take out another person or 3 too down here.

Just added another reply to that news page (I'm DJC on there). Every time they moan "stealth tax" I will try for the time being to wear them down with "stealth tax on the stupid"

It's not an unreasonable guess that it was probably caused by failing to stop/turn in time to avoid a hazard.

Well it was certainly caused by something. Possibly a drunk or drugged driver? I just don't think it's right to put everything down to speed.
