desperately needing 700c studded tyres

Haha! I ordered my studded tyres back in August to beat the rush, so I am sitting pretty.

Well, I would be if Wiggle had come up with the goods, and not put back expected delivery dates several times without letting anyone know.

Yep just been in and they still have both types at £29.99 per tyre

I didn't buy any, the stud's look glued in and don't look that secure. Its hard to know without giving them a blast. I'll just be taking it steady instead, only got to get home tonight and then tomorrows commute after that I'm done till new year

Been using them for a couple of days and the studs are fine. Reading up on them they are only mild steel so won't last as long as carbide but as a tyre they have a good chunky open tread, not too heavy and the studs work well on the bits of ice I've cycled through.

Not much help when the snows over the cranks like today though, gonna be fun going home later as we've have another 2-3 inches this morning

Might just hang fire at the moment and do the same as BigBud and take it easy till the end of the week.I've had my first off today and i don't plan to do it again
