Wives.
On number 3.
my OH is threatening w-1 after a recent explanation of how the bike n+1 theme could go (was getting seriously fed up of switching pannier racks on and off the bikes).... new road bike for best, new mtb for non pannier, cyclocross, cheaper tourer....

n+1 on the tent front is quite likely before the end of summer I suspect!

Vango 2 man for dive trips
tesco 1 man for dive trips/ cycle expeditions to the downs ( sshh dont tell anybody i was wild camping)
tesco 3 man that is now needing a new zip so is relegated to beach shelter
beach shelter that is a bit bigger than the 3 man
Vango 3 man
Gelert 4 man thing with pod at either end and central "living" area
Quecha 2 second pop up used for kids to play in
Quechua pop up 4.2 something used as annexe to..
Quechua 6.2 XL

just realised I forgot the down sleeping bags to go with said tents....

currently only have a 3 season (rab quantum 400), 4 season (marmot pinnacle) and 5 season (rab 1100 premier)... needing a 2 season one really...
my OH needs a 2 season on because he only has a 1 season (rab quantum 200), 3 season (north face green kazoo) & 5 season bag (rab 1100 premier)...

Sea fishing rods and reels. A beach angler cannot have too many rods and reels.

Bass guitars, bass amps.....

I have a friend that up until very recently had one of each colour of a certain type of Yamaha bass guitar, even importing them from different countries where certain colours were not available here or elsewhere! He had them all hanging up on the wall of his lounge. Mad!

during my airsoft days it was indeed AEG +1 syndrome, you went to a shoot and someone had a shiner gun than you.
tents i totally get, camping/walking gear has that N+1 thing all to itself.
its what the users on the music forums call GAS (gear acquisition syndrome)

Ex Airsofter here as well spent a fortune on kit U.S/ Polish/ Danish and Czech Republic load outs, batteries galore AEG'S which I still have gathering dust.
Fishing lures anything fishing related, getting the urge to go out this weekend and trying out the new micro lure's i got the other day  Fish tanks had 6 on the go at once then you had to have the heaters and filters down to 2 at the moment and there's 2 in the garden, got to sort out what to do with them yet. Im sure there's some thing else

Strangely one fiddle is enough, but every time I see a flute I like, whoops! there goes the house keeping money. I try to tell myself that they hold their value so are an investment. (but 24!)

Thanks Moonbunny. You've revived a dormant n+1. Bagpipes.

I had been looking at acquiring a set of border pipes or shuttle pipes to go with my Northumbrian and Uilleanne pipes but had been distracted by the the bike and tent n+1 activities. I swapped my daughter's flute for the Northumbrian pipes and had to replace it when she decided to take it up again. I still came out on top on the deals though.

penny/tin whistles is another (irish flutes to some)
i got a little starter set with a book and it snowballed from there, better whistles, different keys, cleaning tools and more books.
i'm not brilliant at it. i could do with lots of work but i can't find a place to practice mostly as they are damned loud!
heh.

Oh, I forgot about my tin whistles all in the key of D including my low whistles.

Damn you Melonfish I'm now drawn towards Howard Music's whistle page.

I don't need another low whistle
