4 friends and I intend to do the Devon cost 2 coast at the start of May.
In September 2011 I was involved in a serious accident, I originally couldn't ride a normal bike due to balance issues and poor of bend radius of my knees. So got a recumbent trike.
I've since ridden a normal bike (only up to about 18km mostly off road max). The aim is to ride the C2C on a normal bike but I need to investigate if the recumbent is a reserve option.
With the same friends we did the Transpennine Way last year, the main issues were anti-motorbike barriers blocking the way (the trike needs 0.9 m between posts to fit through easily) and off road sections with uphill gravel.
Do any of you know what the Devon C2C is like with regard to anti-motorbike barriers (I can lift it over railway sleepers). Do you know what the surface is on the off-road sections? I've read about the one bad off-road section.
A internet search didn't yield any results but did point to a post on this forum so I thought I'd give it a try.
