I have 2012 Rose Carbon Pro RS
So today I got it built, beautiful. Very happy with the end result. Great frame, stiff, fast, really smooth ride and the Ultegra DI2 is just flawless. I really love it. The only thing is that my LBS couldn't insert the DI2 cables into the frame and this frame takes Ultegra DI2
Check this link http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/rose-carbon-pro-rs-3100-compact/aid:529168
so it is all external right now which is not good. This frame built to take it internally. I'm checking what's the catch here. If anyone knows I would love to her your advice.
Here some pictures

Did the LBS say why it couldn't insert the cables?

They say it is too thick and that also the end of the cable connectors are too thick so it can't go in. The have to drill but they don't want to do it so they put it externally. Just doesn't make sense. Any idea?

Here are few more pictures on the cables close up

Presumably the bike did not come pre-built from Rose. Sounds to me like you will have to raise the issue with them, as having to route the cables externally like that is clearly not acceptable. Unless I'm missing something, they appear to have sold you a Di2-compatible bike, which will not accept Di2 cable routing.

I haven't bought it directly from Rose, I bought the frame from someone who got it from them as 2012 with the Sram Force which is the model 4400. But this doesn't matter because it is the same frame for all of the different models and groupies. So it suppose to take it.

According to this picture, the bottom of my BB area, where I mount the external B junction. They say on the cable guide thread but there is no screw hole there, how it fixed on? Anyone..?

Sorry to say this, but regardless of what you think you might have bought - what it seems you have actually have bought is a frame which is not compatible with Di2 and will only accept mechanical shift cables.

I know that already I'm switching the routing to external kit so basically I need to change the B junction box. That's why my question, how the external B junction box mount on the under area of the BB shell.
Thanks.

Yes you right, and I assume the internal B junction is waterproofed. Are you sure 100% about it?

I am preferring the external routing with this frame but with the external box not the one i have right now since the wires can go much cleaner around the frame with the cover sheath and without all of this extra tape.

Two thoughts spring to mind:-

1. the internal routing is for regular gearing not electronic

2. the internal routing is for Dura Ace Di2 and the Ultegra version has chunkier cables and connectors

No it is not DI2 for DA it is mechanical internal routing which used before SRAM Force groupset. the housing are thinner for UI2 and for the DI2. The only options is to drill the holes or to use external routing.

Finally my LBS got me what I wanted, they width a bit the internal housing The frame has, they did a great job and everything runs internally, neat and clean. I'll post some pictures soon!

I assume the internal B junction is waterproofed.

Thats a bad assumption to make, ive seen Ui2 with issues due to that assumption being made, it is not water proof.

If the frame is not designed for interal routing, Getting a file in or drilling the frame holes is the only way you will be able to go internal, if you take this approach paint the enlarged holes with clear nail varnish or laquer as now you have exposed carbon laminate which can expand if water gets in there.

Have you thought about putting the battery in the seatpost, it would make it look so much nicer imho

Can I use the Shimano Grommets? Here the link http://www.evanscycles.com/products...oogle&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=froogle

Also about the battery in the seat tube you mean? I don't think I can, it is 27.2 seat post dimeter.
