There is a brass terminal on the internal BT-DN110 battery which nothing seems to connect to.

Shimano once told me that it can be used to trigger the battery reset, and that this can sometimes help when e-tube acts up.
You would push it 'in', and that'd trigger a 'reset'.
On the newer battery (BT-DN300) you use a dummy plug and just push that into any of the ports (or so I've been told).
