Di2 Rear Mech

I am swapping my pro-compact 11-28 for a compact with an 11-32 cassette. Cassette is on order as are Rotor chainrings, however am I right in thinking that the short and medium cage 6870 Di2 mechs themselves are identical apart from the cage length itself?

SJS Cycles is the place to go by all accounts. Have called them they will supply cage saving £120 over the cost of a new mech. Result.

I swapped my pro compact from 11-28 to 11-32 with no other alteration. Works perfectly OK.
Swapping from 52-36 to a 50-34 up front effectively gives more available chain length so it shouldn't be a problem.

Looking at gearing suggests that current set up has lowest gear of 34 inches. Moving to a compact with 11-32 will give me 28", while keeping the pro-compact will give a 30 inch gear with 11-32 out back. Confused!
