DICKHEAD DAY 2

Right, cut cable ties on stem and use the two for the mount to refit the computer. Cobble the two cut ties together to make one that will go round the fork leg for the mount, go across the road to "Borrow" another off a mate. Slightly too big, but eventually force it through the slots and pull it tight. Fit magnet and spin wheel to test computer, but the wheel won't spin.

Why won't the wheel spin?

Because I've threaded a cable tie round a spoke, that's feckin' why it won't spin  Cut it off, back to mate over the road to cadge another tie and job done. Remind Mrs SJ not to forget their Christmas card this year, make a brew and go for a cigarette.

How is it you can put a whole bike together without a problem and then drive yourself nuts and spend half the day trying to fit an accessory that a five year old could do in two minutes?

Are you sure you should be allowed out by yourself??

A smart phone is a poor substitute for a cable tie ;).

If I want to navigate or create a gpx file of a ride, I use my smart phone - my smart phone sometimes supplements my Cateye Micro but it will never replace it.
